A collection of the various projects I have spearheaded or contributed to greatly.
A scene I produced from the my senior project, a feature-length screenplay based on the young adult novel, Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde. December, 2008.
Ethan: Justin Moe. Kerry: Vicki Parks.
Directed by me. Director of Photography: Jenna Miller. Lighting: Devin Connor. Sound: Greg Almond. Grips: Nikki Agriesti, Liz Cucchiella, Jordan Ducharme, Michelle Rossignol.
A short film directed and written by me, also based on Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde. This scene was actually shot first, prior to "Kidnapped," but it comes later in the story, even though it stands on its own better. May, 2008.
An earlier cut of "Kidnapped," from the first shoot, done much earlier, when it still felt like summer, despite the fact that it was shot in early October, 2008. There is a lot about this version that I like, but the lighting inconsistencies, plus a few other technical errors caused us to re-shoot it, and we made some changes along the way. A few of those changes I wish we'd left alone, but some of them I thought made a significant improvement.
The Gag Reel from the second and third shoots of "Kidnapped." They were great shoots, we all had a blast.
One of the five Actor Reels I shot during my second year of working at The School of Cinema And Performing Arts (SOCAPA); these Reels feature the acting students in scenes from actual motion pictures, shot and edited by the staff of the Film Program.
This scene is from the film Twilight. The actors are Ian Deming and Brooke Robbins. Lysie Shutrump and Jackie Cook also appear. August, 2009.
Another of the five Actor Reels I shot during my second year at SOCAPA. This scene is from the film Working Girl. The actors are Lexi Britt and Isabel Espy. July, 2009.
The music video for "Second Street," a new song by upcoming band Spark The Light. Directed and Produced by Brendan Biondi and Christen Weaver. Shot on super 16mm color film, and two other forms of HD video. Edited by Brian Hefele. I worked as Script Supervisor and Camera Logger.
Fictional Perfume Commercial. Shot on 16mm [Kodak] Reversal Film. Written, Directed, Performed and Narrated by me.
A Lighting Class project; Day and Night lighting combined. I took scenes from the romantic comedy French Kiss, which stars Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline (one of my favorite films). I couldn't find a male actor, so I stepped in to act, adapting the story so that Kate runs into her sister, Lucy on the way to Paris. I quite liked the way it turned out. It's a storyline than I am continuing to develop today. Spring, 2008.
A Short Scene based on William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Shot on Digital Video with a Canon GL2 Video Camera. Written and Directed by me; I performed as the character Heather, the first character to speak in the scene. Spring, 2007.
A Sound Design Class project. (i.e. no visuals, all audio and music). Based on a true story. I'd like to do this as either a short film or part of a series someday. Fall, 2008.
One of the first Video Projects I ever shot at Stevenson University; the original version of this was removed from online; it was set to "American Woman" by The Guess Who. This one is set to "No Lullaby" by Jethro Tull. It's not much, but I like the idea, and would like to expand on it someday.
Editing Project. Photos taken by Kyrie Baek; performed by me. Summer, 2006.
Photography Class Project. We were assigned to pick a song or poem and take photos accordingly. I deliberately chose a piece without humans; then I took the photos and put them together into this slideshow. Photos taken on a 16mm Vivitar Photographic Camera. Song by Jethro Tull, Heavy Horses Album (1978).
The first project for my Lighting Class; Night Lighting. Shot on a Canon GL2. I'm thinking of doing a follow-up for "Craptastic Car Company." Perhaps.
An editing project; one of my first. I attempted to compose a theatrical trailer for a movie-musical of Les Misérables, a movie I hope to someday see made. It's my all-time favorite musical. I used footage from the 1998 film (which I did NOT care for) to make this trailer. The music is from the Les Misérables DreamCast Concert Soundtrack. I do not own any of this. Purely fan-made.
Another project for my Lighting Class (Daytime Lighting), but one I used to try to talk about something I actually believe in, Banned Books Week. It came out relatively cheesy, I know, but Banned Books Week IS important and I'd like to do a much better version of this soon. Please visit: http://www.ALA.org.
